How We Work
The Comox Valley Social Planning Society was formed in 1996 to promote social planning as a process to create a healthy and inclusive Comox Valley. We provide support to local governments and community organizations and individuals in areas of equity, accessibility, living wage and increasing supports for marginalized populations.
Activities:
- Provide information to individuals, organizations, and policy makers. To advocate for and guide the development of social planning strategies throughout the Comox Valley
- Raise the profile of social planning in the community and increase community engagement in social issues.
- Partner with Comox Valley Accessibility Committee to support their work improving accessibility and inclusion in the Comox Valley.

Anti-racist Statement:

Safe spaces are respectful of everyone, regardless of age, ancestry, colour, gender identity, gender expression, mental or physical disability, place of origin, race, religious beliefs, or sexual orientation. Oppressive behaviour will not be tolerated during CVSPS activities or events, or in online media or other communications administered by CVSPS.
